Terms of use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sarah Mahoney, a sole trader trading as Niblet (“Niblet”, “we”, “us”), of 38 Greenvale Road, Eltham, London, SE9 1PD, United Kingdom, when you use the Niblet website and app. Please read them alongside our privacy policy. Contact us any time at [email protected].
Niblet is not medical advice
Niblet helps you keep notes about your baby’s food and shares general guidance based on NHS Start for Life and Food Standards Agency advice. It can’t diagnose allergies or any other condition, and it doesn’t replace advice from your GP, health visitor, dietitian or another health professional. Niblet is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS.
If your baby shows signs of a severe allergic reaction, call 999 straight away. For urgent advice that isn’t an emergency, call NHS 111.
Always stay with your baby while they eat, keep them sitting upright, and prepare food in a way that suits their age. The serving guides in Niblet are a starting point, not a guarantee of safety.
Who can use Niblet
You must be 18 or over and a parent, carer or someone helping to look after the child whose diary you keep. Niblet is designed for use in the UK and follows UK guidance.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for who you invite through family sharing: they can see and change the shared diary, including reactions and allergy notes.
Suggestions from photos, labels and links
Some features use AI to suggest foods from photos, ingredient labels and web pages. Suggestions can be wrong, so always check them, especially ingredients and allergens, before saving. Recipes you import from other websites belong to their owners.
Membership and payments
Niblet is a paid membership. Each parent or carer needs their own, including anyone who joins a shared family diary with an invite code. There is no free trial.
Prices
Membership is £1.99 a month or £19.99 a year. If you subscribe in the app before 1 January 2027, you pay our founding price of £1 a month or £10 a year instead. Joining the waitlist doesn’t count: the founding price is for subscriptions started in the app before that date.
Founding members keep their price for as long as they stay subscribed, including if they switch between monthly and yearly. If your membership ends and you subscribe again later, you’ll pay the price at that time.
How you pay
You subscribe and pay through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), not directly to us. Apple or Google takes the payment, and their own terms apply to it as well as these.
Renewal and cancelling
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the same price, until you cancel. To stop it renewing, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Niblet account doesn’t cancel the subscription on its own. When you cancel, you keep your membership until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
If you pay yearly, we’ll email you about two weeks before each renewal to remind you of the date and the price.
If your membership ends
Your diary stays yours. You can still open it, see everything in it and delete your account, but you won’t be able to add new meals, reactions or other entries until you subscribe again. Your information is otherwise kept and deleted as ourprivacy policy describes.
Refunds and your right to cancel
Because Apple and Google take the payment, refunds are requested from them and handled under their policies, which include any right you have under UK law to cancel within 14 days. If something has gone wrong, please also email us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help.
Price changes
If we ever change the price of a membership, we’ll tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you’d rather. Founding members keep their founding price for as long as they stay subscribed.
Using Niblet fairly
Please don’t misuse Niblet. That means not trying to access other people’s information, interfere with the service or its security, copy the app or its content for commercial use, or upload anything unlawful or harmful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Changes and availability
We’re always improving Niblet, so features may change. We’ll do our best to keep it running smoothly but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. If we make important changes to these terms, we’ll tell you before they take effect.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to follow these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We’re not responsible for loss or damage that isn’t foreseeable, or for business losses, as Niblet is for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (More › Account). When you do, your information is deleted as described in ourprivacy policy. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first if you have a problem. Most things can be sorted out with a quick email.
